Karen Johnson and Sally Cooperrider have been in
practice together since 1986. They are committed to

KAREN JOHNSON has been practicing law in San Jose for
more than 30 years. She has frequently served as a volunteer
Pro Tem Judge in the Family Court and Small Claims Court,
and as a Santa Clara County Bar Association fee arbitrator.
She serves on the Santa Clara County Superior Court Probate
referee and probate mediator panels, and is frequently asked
by the Probate Court to serve as an attorney for Conservatees.
She specializes in probating estates, will contests, drafting
wills and trusts, and representing conservators and
conservatees. She also handles various other types of legal
matters.
Ms. Johnson was born and raised in South Dakota, and
graduated from Cornell University Law School.
SALLY COOPERRIDER has been practicing law in San Jose
for over 20 years. She is trained and experienced as a family
law mediator and Collaborative Law attorney. She tries to help clients resolve the issues in their divorce or other family law matter by mediation or collaborative processes, when possible, but she also represents clients in court, and in other contested proceedings. Ms. Cooperrider also prepares Qualified Domestic Relationship Orders (QDRO)s to divide pensions in marital dissolutions.
Ms. Cooperrider assists staight and same-sex couples with living together agreements and partnership breakups.
She also prepares wills and trusts. She is a member and past
chairperson of the Santa Clara County Bar Association
Rainbow Committee and has served on the Santa Clara County
Bar Association Board of Trustees. She frequently serves as a
volunteer Pro Tem Judge in the Family Court.
Ms. Cooperrider was born and raised in Seattle, Washington.
She graduated from the University of Santa Clara Law School.
